Academy Director: Jason Clifton MEd. CSIA I
Mr. Clifton has taught Grades 2 to 12, ran a special needs program and served as principal during his diverse teaching career in four schools throughout Livingstone Range School Division. He is an avid outdoors man, who loves backpacking, touring, and of course skiing and snowboarding. Mr. Clifton believes strongly in personalized learning experiences and loves the premise of the LSA because it allows students the opportunity to blend their educational experience with their passion for skiing, or snowboarding.
Castle Mountain Snow Sports School Director/ LSA Head Coach: Peter Stewart
Peter has been working in the snow sports industry as an active full-time instructor, coach and coach developer LF for over 25 years. Over the course of his career prior to entering his 10th season at Castle. He has managed Large Snow Schools, Ski Race programs, and Snowboard Race, SBX and freestyle Programs. Including coaching snowboard high performance programs. He has coached internationally working with provincial and national level athletes. Along with a Post Secondary Education in Business and Kinesiology.
Peter works with several provincial and national level athletes in the shoulder season developing technical skills. Including Camps in Mt Hood, Chillie, and Tignes, France. Peter looks forward to bringing this knowledge back to LSA this season as he works towards completing his level 3 performance level ski race coach pathway and works with the coaches in developing their coaching skills as a certified coach mentor and coach evaluator for Alpine Canada. LSA Facilitator/Teacher: Eliza Grose
Mrs. Eliza Grose has taught grades K to 12 in Livingstone Range School Division for over 10 years. Eliza loves to share her passion for experiential learning in an outdoor environment and is inspired by facilitating growth mindset discussions with her students. Eliza believes that the LSA program fosters an amazing opportunity for all students no matter their ability to challenge themselves and continue to develop their athletics skills, but more importantly realize their infinite potential. Eliza has a background in ski instructing and coaching and is energized by introducing new skiers/boarders to awesome winter sports.
Director of Fitness: Coady Macdonald
Since graduating from the University of New Brunswick with a BSc in Kinesiology and a BEd, Coady has been teaching physical education and promoting healthy active living with a focus on getting students outdoors. After moving from the Maritimes, Coady spent four years designing training programs for youth in Aboriginal communities in Northern Alberta, and more recently at Livingstone School in the Southwest corner of the province. Since joining the staff at Livingstone Ski academy, Coady has taken the lead on designing student-athlete training programs, overseeing dry land training, and nutritional education.
Freestyle/Big Mountain Specialist: Jackson Brown
Jackson is new to LSA this season from New Zealand, currently working towards his NZSIA Level 3 instructor certification. He has a passion for big mountain skiing and is very talented in the Park as well. Jackson is a year round snow professional who has come to Castle to experience the terrain we have to offer. During the summer seasons Jackson is a passionate diver and a fisher. Development Specialist: Anne Marie Fitzgerald
Anne Marie has worked year round in the snow sports industry for the last two years working in New Zealand in the summer months and Canada in the winter. She has worked as a snow school director in New Zealand for Broken River Ski Field and more recently Instructing at Mt Hutt, During the Canadian season she has worked in Whistler, and Kimberly. Anne Marie is working towards her Level 3 CSIA and has a strong understanding of ski technique and skill development. CSIA Level 3 Candidate

Big Mountain Development Specialist: Talullah Hedley
Talullah is from New Zealand and was voted as one of the instructors voted most fun by her students last season at Castle. She is joining us this year with the LSA program as our Big Mountain development specialist. Talullah has a good foundation of skiing skills from ski racing when she was young. She is able to take those skills and develop. The skiing of her entry level Big Mountain Group this season in an off piste environment. NZSIA LEVEL 1 Instructor
Development Specialist: Chris Marshall Bell (Chrissy)
A CSIA Level 2 instructor Chrissy comes to us from Norquay in Banff where he developed his skills under the close eye of Gord Fielding and Morgan Engle. One of the most energetic and fun instructors on our staff. He is a sure bet to develop skills in fun and exciting manner. CSIA LEVEL 2 Certified
Snowboard Specialist: Sam Hynes
Snowboard Specialist/ LSA Program Supervisor: Becca Matthew
Becca comes to us from New Zealand entering into her second season at Castle Mountain, moving into the LSA program this year Becca will be helping the coaches update their fresh grade material and be assisting Peter with the on-hill program direction this season. Becca makes learning fun in every way and was our instructor of the year last year in snow school. Becca brings a cheery attitude forward that puts her athletes at ease as she challenges their skills. She also is a certified ski instructor as well. NZSBIA Certified Level 2 CSIA Certified Level 1
Big Mountain/Development Specialist: Jennifer Fishbourne
Development Specialist: Joilen Laenens
Joilen is an Austrian Certified Instructor. As part of her certification she has Race and Freestyle training as well as a very solid understanding of skill development and ski technique. A strong technical skier who has skied on some of the largest resort mountains in the world in Europe. In addition to being a very cheery and strong group leader, She will be bringing great technical focus to the on hill program at LSA this season. Level 3 Austrian Certified Instructor
